Release 1.4.0

Changes

This release makes the plugin's frontend revolve around connectors and audio sinks rather than "displays", more correctly mirroring the internal mechanism for switching. What were formerly presented as "displays" are now presented as "connectors", each one having the option to use its default audio sink (if it has one) or an external audio sink (e.g. headphone jack, bluetooth device, etc). This extends to the "Manage Outputs" tab and the "Default Audio" picker.

Release 1.1.0

@joeatethebeans joeatethebeans released this 25 Sep 23:02

Changes

This release implements a new display switching method using the AMDGPU Linux Kernel Driver and its debugfs system. This allows for live switches on any device using an AMD Radeon GPU, expanding support to base SteamOS and no longer forcing the plugin to rely on Gamescope Plus' OUTPUT_CONNECTOR variable. The old switch method is still available with a toggle in the settings page.

Fixes

  • Fixed broken image path in plugin manifest

@joeatethebeans joeatethebeans released this 05 Sep 14:33

First release of OutputManager. Install via Decky developer "Install from Zip" option.

Features

  • Displays section: tap a connected display to switch to it. This
    restarts the gamescope session.
  • Audio section: tap a known audio output to make it the default sink
    immediately.
  • Manage Outputs: a full list of every display/audio output you've
    ever configured, including ones that are currently unplugged (their
    settings are kept until you explicitly forget them). From here you can:
    • Rename any output (cosmetic label only)
    • Hide/unhide it from the main panel
    • Set a default audio device for each display, automatically applied
      whenever you switch to that display
    • Forget a device's saved settings if it's unplugged
  • Default display: configurable in Settings, automatically applied
    when Gaming Mode boots and when the system wakes from sleep.
  • Advanced settings: override certain variables under the hood. Good for debugging
