Accessibility and layout corrections
-
Added Tools > Show hidden files, a persistent toggle for hidden media/files and folders in both panes. Normal filters still apply; the Store capture runner keeps hidden files off without adding a main-window control.
-
Scan status and Cancel retain their own row and space when text is enlarged or the window narrows.
-
Enlarged text wraps the top guide while preserving full toolbar action buttons.
-
File rows and column headings follow interface text scaling without cutting off enlarged text.
-
Read-only dropdowns use readable colours in Dark and High contrast themes.
-
Enlarged conversion settings retain full selector widths in a scrollable area; conversion actions remain visible. The appearance dialog fits its controls after changing text size.
-
Retains pixel-measured translated conversion choices and scrollable Info metadata with reserved action buttons in short browsers.
Changes since the previous public Windows release, 12.3.0
- Expanded interface and Help to 43 languages, including RTL presentation and regional language detection. Serbian uses Cyrillic.
- Added and improved the selection basket, tick/highlight separation, drag/drop Copy/Move/Cancel prompt and transfer previews.
- Improved queued transfers and asynchronous, resumable Undo coordination with background media readers.
- Preserved and expanded Help to 22 chapters and 134 paragraphs per language, with navigation, search and a clickable topic index.
- Localised conversion choices/statuses, tick counters and new controls; fitted translated headings while retaining manual column resizing.
The Windows portable package includes the executable, source archive, licence/notices and SHA-256 checksums. Settings and caches stay local; media remains on the computer. Existing media operations retain their review/confirmation workflows.
Linux's latest verified binary remains 12.6.1; this Windows release does not update Linux. No Microsoft Store submission is included. The Windows executable is unsigned; verify its checksum against the official release assets.
Validation used the current Windows 11 host with isolated settings and a system-only PATH, plus matching-source native UI checks. A separate clean OS and Windows 10 were not tested.
Resolution File Manager 12.3.0 for Windows
Resolution File Manager is a portable, dual-pane tool for reviewing, sorting, comparing, organising and converting large image and video collections.
Version 12.3.0 adds independent tick-box action groups to both panes. Tick files in Details or Thumbnails, continue highlighting and previewing other files, then copy, move, drag, organise, analyse, convert or recycle the complete collected group. Ticks survive sorting and filtering, visible files can be toggled together, and every action retains the familiar highlighted-row fallback when no files are ticked.
This release is portable and bundles the media tools it needs. Download the standalone EXE or extract the portable ZIP. The source archive and SHA-256 checksums are also attached.

Resolution File Manager 12.2.2 for Windows
Resolution File Manager is a portable dual-pane Windows tool for reviewing, sorting, comparing, organising and converting large image and video collections.
It is particularly useful for rapidly scanning through many video files with ease. Cached metadata and thumbnails, sortable technical columns and independent preview panes make it practical to inspect and compare large collections without opening every file separately.
Include subfolders can scan an entire folder tree as one collection. You can then sort, filter, select and manipulate files across those subfolders by codec, resolution, file size, duration, bitrate, frame rate, date, type, rating, label, tags and other properties. Selected groups can be copied, moved, renamed, reported on, checked for integrity or reviewed for duplicates.
The conversion tools can change video resolution or codec using H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1 and other presets. Hardware-aware encoding can use supported NVIDIA, Intel or AMD acceleration, with safe CPU fallback, while originals are retained.
Other highlights include fast cached thumbnails, exact and visual duplicate review, folder comparison, batch rename, folder rules, inventory reports and reversible file-management workflows.
Version 12.2.2 adds an entirely optional Buy Me a Coffee link under Help and About. The application does not open the link automatically and does not handle payment information.
Download the Windows x64 ZIP, extract it, and run the versioned executable. The standalone EXE is also provided. This build is currently unsigned, so Windows may display a SmartScreen warning. Verify downloads using SHA256SUMS.txt.
Licence: GPL-3.0-or-later. The package includes source code, privacy information and third-party notices.
