Notes: a markdown notebook alongside your tasks
tudo now has two tabs: press 1 for Tasks and 2 for Notes. The Notes tab is a full markdown notebook that mirrors the Tasks layout, with notebooks in the sidebar, a note list, and a live preview.
- Plain markdown, portable files. One .md file per note under a notes/ directory, one folder per notebook. Metadata (tags, pin, order) lives in a small YAML frontmatter block, so any other tool can read and edit them.
- Write and read. A full-screen editor (Esc/Ctrl+S saves and autosaves), or hand the file to your $EDITOR with E. Press Tab in an open note to flip between the raw editor and a rendered read view. Markdown syntax is dimmed so your text stands out.
- Wiki links and backlinks. Link notes with [[Note title]], then press f in the read view to follow a link (the picker shows both outgoing links and backlinks). Each note shows a Linked from section.
- Full note management. Inline #tags, pin (*), archive (d), move between notebooks (m), reorder, sort, search (/), and copy. Same keys you already know from the Tasks tab.
- Archived notebook pinned to the bottom, matching how archived tasks work.
Sidebar navigation improvements
- \ flips the sidebar between the Lists and Tags panes (# jumps straight to Tags), so you no longer scroll past every list to reach your tags.
- Selection now wraps around within the focused pane.
- New customizable toggle-sidebar-pane keybinding.
- The ? help overlay is now tab-aware, showing the relevant bindings for whichever tab you're on.
