Release list
Three-title build with BSP streaming
What's new since v0.1.0.0b
- Three independent game packages: build Allied Assault, Breakthrough and Spearhead with their own executable configuration, target-game selection and PS3 TITLE_ID.
- Expansion-local data and state: stage Breakthrough in its own USRDIR/maintt and Spearhead in its own USRDIR/mainta, while retaining shared Allied Assault base-game lookup and separate per-title saves, configuration and logs.
- BSP surface streaming: read draw vertices and indexes per surface using reusable bounded scratch buffers, reducing peak memory pressure during level loading.
- Renderer and memory work: add per-title shader caches, safer cache validation and generation, compact texture/lightmap handling, unused-image cleanup, texture-memory reporting, zone-allocation diagnostics and a lower-memory PS3 save-archive path.
- DualShock 3 aim assist across all titles: support scripted soldiers and players, reject friendly/dead/occluded targets, enable aim assist by default at strength 1.0 and provide an L2 toggle with on-screen state feedback.
- Expansion audio robustness: improve MP3 stream/frame recovery and expansion audio precaching while retaining the native libaudio mixer and minimp3-based static-free playback.
- Incremental Linux CI: persist three separate Ninja build trees and share the cached PS3 toolchain, host dependencies and compiler cache; expand automated coverage for aim assist, expansion paths, renderer memory, BSP streaming and shader caches.
Validation
- The release workflow builds and links all three PS3 title variants, runs the PS3 regression tests, validates title-specific shader caches and stages all three packages.
- Six package assets are attached: standard PKG and GNPDRM PKG for each title.
- CI success verifies compilation, tests and package generation; physical-console validation of campaign stability, performance, BSP streaming and memory behavior remains ongoing.
- Build run: https://github.com/kadorna1/iopenmohaa-ps3/actions/runs/41513871711
shader caching enabled
Shader-caching release for iOpenMOHAA PS3. Adds the pre-indexed Allied Assault material shader cache, offline generation from PK3 archives, runtime cache integrity and manifest validation with automatic fallback to the original parser, and cache diagnostics. Includes DualShock 3 aim assist enabled by default at maximum strength (1.0), configurable through archived cvars. Retains the static-free minimp3 audio backend, streamed audio support, 720p default display configuration, and stripped PS3 release binaries.
Full audio support
Static-free PS3 audio release. Replaces libmad with minimp3 and includes the tested native PS3 streamed-audio/music backend, host-native PCM handling, load-time stream refills, and 6 dB mix headroom. PS3 release binaries are built without DWARF debug information and stripped of symbols.
Progress: still crashes!

Initial release
Most of the things are half baked, keep in mind this is still a work in progress
REQUIRES A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL GOG FILES FOR ALLIED ASSAULT WARCHEST IN dev_hdd0/game/OMOHAA020/USRDIR/main (not included for obvious reasons)
Audio: only sfx works, no other audio output.
Gameplay: playable at 720p, needs optimization for 1080p
Menus: move mouse pointer with left stick, click with square. Dpad navigation is broken.
Status: boot camp and first mission load, although somewhat slowly (needs optimization). First mission crashes randomly
