Refrax 0.28

The updater moves to GitHub. This is the last release delivered from refrax.website — starting with this version, Refrax checks GitHub Releases for updates. Every update DMG now ships with an ed25519 signature that the app verifies against a key pinned inside itself before anything is installed.

New: energy tools.

  • Calm This Page — freeze a site's animations from the page menu, the Lightboard, or per-site settings. Decorative infinite animations can quietly burn ~10% CPU while a page just sits there; calming pauses them in place, and they resume the moment you ask.
  • The Lightboard now shows per-process CPU alongside memory, plus GPU and app CPU up top — the numbers that reveal which page is draining your battery.
  • Tabs holding an audio session while playing nothing get their own badge, so the mystery tab keeping your audio hardware awake has nowhere to hide.

Fixes.

  • Minimized windows restore from the Dock instead of duplicating.
  • Pending changes are saved synchronously at quit.
  • Window size, position, and sidebar width carry over to new windows.
  • Web-process crashes are now reported automatically.
