New Features

Auto update check

Snappy now checks for new releases on launch (at most once per day). If a newer version is available, a dialog appears with a "View Release" button to open the release page in your browser.

Improvements

Version info in Settings

The current version is now displayed at the bottom of the General tab in Settings.

Bug Fixes

Version not updating after build

Fixed an issue where xcodegen generate (run during make zip) would reset the version in Info.plist back to an older value.

v0.1.2

Improvements

Panel opens when relaunching app

Double-clicking the app icon while Snappy is already running now shows the snap panel — consistent with the Show Panel menu item and global hotkey.

Removed grid border

Removed the 1px border around the grid in the snap panel for a cleaner look.

v0.1.1

v0.1.1

Bug Fixes

Window focus restored after resize

After resizing a window with Snappy, focus now automatically returns to the target app. You can type immediately without having to click the window first — this is especially useful for terminal apps like cmux.

Accessibility permission flow fixed on macOS 26

On macOS 26 Tahoe, enabling accessibility via System Settings was not being recognized by the app. The permission is now requested through the proper AXIsProcessTrustedWithOptions API, which correctly registers Snappy in TCC.

Additionally, Snappy will automatically prompt for accessibility permission on first launch if it has not been granted yet.

Note for existing users: If you have already granted accessibility permission but the app is not recognizing it, run the following and then re-grant access in System Settings:

tccutil reset Accessibility com.katsuma.Snappy
make install
