Delest 0.1.6
Added
- Check all in the quarantine tab: every entry that may go now, never what is to
review.
Fixed
- A second click during a long deletion started a second one, which stopped on a
folder the first had just deleted (“No such file or directory”). Nothing can be
clicked until the deletion is over, the app says it is running, one deletion runs at
a time, and an entry already gone counts as deleted.
Delest 0.1.5
Added
- New versions: when a newer Delest is published, the app says so at the top of its
window, with a button to the download page; it installs nothing by itself. It asks
GitHub at most once a day and sends nothing but the request; Settings › New versions
turns it off.
Delest 0.1.4
Changed
- The quarantine tab: its delete button sits at the top right, and the top of the
tab stays in view while the list scrolls; the confirmation shows there too. - Each entry says why it waits: what reinstalls from the network can be deleted on
request, what was to review keeps its 7 days. A line sums up the three groups, and a
disabled checkbox looks disabled.
Added
- What reinstalls from the network (
node_modules,Pods…) can be deleted before its
7 days, once the confirmation has said it will need the network;delest purge --networkdoes the same. What was to review still keeps its 7 days.
Fixed
- In French, the quarantine question agrees with a single item: « Il reste restaurable
7 jours ».
Delest 0.1.3
Fixed
- Linux: the floating gauge keeps its width; GTK made its window 200 points wide and
the gauge overflowed on the right. Tried on Xubuntu 24.04. - In French,
delest cleanagrees with a single item: « Gardé : 1 élément »,
« À juger : 1 élément (126 Mo), laissé de côté ».
Delest 0.1.2
Fixed
- Linux: Delest's icon now shows in the panel, with a menu (Floating gauge, Open
Delest, Quit). Linux shows a tray icon only when it has a menu, and sends it no click.
Tried on Xubuntu 24.04. - The icon is the app's colored one outside macOS: the black image macOS tints stayed
black on a dark panel or taskbar.
Changed
- When no model can run, Delest says why with the figures: the memory the model needs
and what is free (“Gemma 4 E2B needs 4.0 GB of free memory, and 3.3 GB is free now”),
or the battery's charge. Settings › AI shows the same sentence.
Delest 0.1.1
Delest is now open source, under the MIT licence.
Added
- Install the local AI from the app (Settings › AI): the llama.cpp engine built for
the system and the two models, on a click, after a summary of what will be downloaded,
with a progress bar. A copy of a model already in another tool's cache is cloned
rather than downloaded.delest models enginewith no path does the same for the
engine. - Every model and engine file is checked against its published SHA-256 fingerprint
before it is kept; an engine that does not start on the system is not kept. CONTRIBUTING.mdandSECURITY.md.
Known limits
- llama.cpp's builds need macOS 13.3 or later, and on Windows a Visual C++ runtime 14.40
or later; Delest says so and gives the way to get one, and still installs the models.
