Changes

• One compact toolbar with five icon-only tools: paper details, PDF, source passage, conversation link, and reload. Remove the title, New, Settings, close controls, and the settings page.
• Black, white, and gray throughout the plugin, including focus and error states.
• Recognize the explicitly identified composer submit button; preserve native Stop/voice controls, drafts on ambiguous controls, and exactly-one-send behavior.
• Remove obsolete previews, test profiles, settings assets, and superseded reports from the current checkout.

Validation

68 tests and all five local gates passed. Windows, macOS, and Linux CI passed; all three downloaded XPIs match the final package. A clean checkout reproduced the same 9-file XPI. Final-XPI macOS Reader checks passed (27 checks). See the attached validation and Reader reports for evidence and coverage limits.

Prerelease: the isolated official ChatGPT page required browser verification, so the final selected-passage/visible-answer acceptance remains blocked. The screenshot's exact live DOM was not verified; synthetic regression coverage is not a claim of authenticated end-to-end acceptance. Automatic updates remain disabled.

Changes

• Fix recognition of the official Send message button in the current editor's form.
• Fix multiline selected-passage/context insertion in the rich editor; preserve strict textarea line breaks and ordinary spaces.
• Show new chat, reload, settings, close, copy details, copy PDF, source, and link actions directly.
• Remove the redundant paper/PDF sidebar headings and the overflow menu.
• Use black, white, and gray, with red errors and blue accents; show errors as readable text.
• Keep uncertain sends unconfirmed and avoid automatic resend. Confirm reload before discarding an unsent draft.

Validation and channel

62 tests and all five local gates passed. Windows, macOS, and Linux CI passed and produced identical XPIs. A clean checkout rebuilt the same 11-file XPI byte for byte. Final-XPI macOS Reader checks passed, including native Gecko multiline insertion.

This is a prerelease. Official ChatGPT's browser verification blocked the final selected-passage/visible-answer acceptance check in the isolated Zotero profile. No login or question was automated, and stable acceptance remains outstanding. The automatic update feed remains empty. See the attached reports for PASS/BLOCKED/NOT RUN details.

• Icon controls with hover descriptions; compact settings and README.
• Fix webpage click interception and sidebar resizing.
• One XPI for Windows, Linux, and macOS on Zotero 9.0.6–9.0.x.

All three CI builds pass and produce identical packages. Local unit tests and final-XPI Reader layout checks pass.

Prerelease: official selected-passage answer verification is blocked by ChatGPT browser verification in the isolated profile. Windows/Linux native Reader checks remain unrun. Automatic updates remain off until stable acceptance passes.
