What's new

maple never exits for harness launches

Pressing o (open session), Enter in the superpower launch overlay, or Enter in the L launcher no longer kills maple.

Spawning is now a tea.Cmd inside the TUI:

  • Success: a status bar message confirms the harness opened in a new tab
  • Failure: a manual-launch modal appears inside maple showing the exact command to paste, with [c] to copy to clipboard (pbcopy / xclip / xsel / clip depending on OS)

maple stays alive in all cases — no more losing the dashboard when opening Claude Code or OpenCode.

Manual-launch modal

When no new-terminal mechanism is detected (no tmux/zellij, no WezTerm/Kitty, no GUI emulator), a centered overlay appears inside the TUI:

⚠  Could not open a new terminal tab
maple needs a multiplexer (tmux / zellij) or a supported terminal
to open the harness in a new tab. Open a tab manually and run:

  claude --resume <session-id>

[c] copy to clipboard  [Esc] dismiss

Tip: run maple inside tmux or zellij — harnesses open automatically.

Recommended: run maple inside tmux or zellij for zero-friction harness launching.
