Image layers and rendering
- Layer display controls: The Rendering tab provides color maps, display ranges, and visibility controls for scalar base images and overlays, plus overlay opacity and transparent-background blending. Base-image controls work in ordinary 2D and oblique views; overlays render in ordinary 2D views. (#983)
- Persistent display settings: Layer settings survive layout changes and saved sessions. Slice position and camera settings are preserved across layout changes, and hiding and showing the base image no longer changes clipping after replacing an oblique layout. (#983, #990)
- Visible segmentations over image layers: Segmentation masks render above image overlays so opaque layers do not cover them. (#983)
- PET/CT Chest sample: A new sample opens PET as an overlay on CT for exploring the layer display controls. (#983)
Paint and file loading
- Voxel-based brush sizes: Brush diameter follows the image's finest voxel spacing, so size 1 paints a single voxel. The maximum size scales with image dimensions, and the slider, keyboard shortcuts, and modifier-wheel adjustments use the same limits. (#981)
- Reliable file selection: File inputs stay connected while waiting for selection, preventing pending dialogs from losing their input before the selected files are supplied. (#1000)
Processing jobs
- Multiple image inputs: Tasks bind the active dataset to their first scalar image input and attached layers, in order, to subsequent inputs. Missing required images prevent submission; missing optional images remain empty. DICOM series retain their complete file lists within each image input. (#989)
- Clearer inputs and resilient results: Job forms show declared image-input roles. Completed results remain available when job history cannot be fetched, and history can identify the reference image explicitly when restoring results from jobs with multiple images. (#989)
Maintenance and deployment
- VTK.js 38: Updated rendering dependencies to VTK.js 38.0.0, adopted its native types and image serialization, and retained the required picking and texture cleanup patches. Other dependency updates include axios, Vite, and server dependencies. (#928, #975, #984, #1001)
- Sentry environment labels: Deployments can set
VITE_SENTRY_ENVIRONMENTat build time to distinguish production and development error reports. The default remainsproduction. (#991) - Visit analytics delivery: Netlify deployments send visits through GoatCounter's authenticated backend API. Deployments using this integration need
GOATCOUNTER_API_TOKENwith permission to count pageviews in Netlify's Functions scope, alongsideGOATCOUNTER_SITE. (#992)
