Folio 1.3.0

Fenced mermaid blocks now render as diagrams in split view, preview mode, and PDF exports. Diagrams update while you edit. Invalid syntax shows the source and an error, and recovers once corrected.

Mermaid is bundled locally and loaded only for notes containing diagrams. PDF export waits for diagrams to finish rendering.

Installation

  • Apple Silicon Macs (arm64).
  • Existing Folio 1.0.3 or newer installations can receive this feature through the signed automatic-update payload. This is not an updater bootstrap release.
  • The DMG and full-app ZIP are available for manual installation.
  • The app is ad-hoc signed, not Apple Developer ID signed or notarized. macOS may require you to control-click Folio, choose Open, and confirm.
  • Semantic and hybrid search require model downloads on first use; Mermaid rendering and keyword search do not.

Validation

  • 68 tests, type checking, lint, and production build passed; npm audit reports zero vulnerabilities.
  • Verified real flowchart and sequence rendering, live editing, invalid-syntax recovery, ordinary code blocks, and Electron PDF export.
  • Verified packaged search initialization, app signature, DMG, ZIP archives, and Ed25519 update signature.
  • Live previous-version download/restart and iCloud sync were not exercised for this release.
