vphone 2.13.6

Core Bundle

  • Apple TV 4K (4th generation) runs its native Setup instead of the legacy one. On 27.2 the tvos-4k preset selects system-setup-exp-deferred_focus, which lets Hello take its first Select, and system-mobileactivationd-exp-tv_activation, which gets manual activation through. Setup completes to Home with its own completion flags. (#760)
  • A virtual Apple TV Remote panel drives TV guests: clicks, holds, Home, and Control Center. (#760)
  • Install Bootstrap on an Apple TV installs Irisin's appletvos-arm64e package as a RootHide bootstrap. vphoned checks the package, loads wiki.qaq.irisind into launchd and loads it again after a reboot. The package carries no app yet, so nothing is registered on the home screen. Rootless is shown as unavailable on TV, and vphoned refuses it there.
  • On an arm64e Apple TV, system-launchdaemons-boot-environment and system-launchd-boot-jetsam_panic_guard_bypass can now be selected. On TV the environment is launchdhook-vphone.dylib and SystemHook-vphone.dylib alone, marked tvOS and signed again at install. Turning it off removes them. Both stay blocked in tvos and tvos-4k and on the Apple TV HD.
  • The debug session window and its exit messages are translated.

Launchpad 2.13.6

  • No source changes besides the version. No vphone-cli argument or output, template or snapshot JSON, bundle receipt or escalator changed, so the 2.13 series stays interchangeable both ways and the minimum bundle stays 2.13.0. The helper is unchanged (build 21).
  • vphone-launchpad-2.13.6.zip is built by CI and not notarized; macOS blocks it the first time you open it (see Downloads). vphone-launchpad-2.13.0-notarized.zip keeps working with this bundle.

Upgrading

In Launchpad's Core Bundle page, install VPhone.bundle 2.13.6. Existing machines keep their Core Bundle bindings until you change them. A TV guest gets the new patches and environment when its environment is updated, and the new vphoned when it is installed into it again.

Validation

  • CI builds the Release VPhone scheme and Launchpad, runs bundle admission, and checks both vphone-escalator slices before attaching the files.
  • vphoned logic tests (386 checks) and the patch resolution and catalog tests (46) pass.
  • On a tvOS 26.6 arm64e Apple TV 4K guest: the RootHide bootstrap, irisind across a reboot, and an Irisin client's service info, install and remove, with an iOS package refused. With the environment hooks on, the guest booted to Home with SystemHook in every process. With them off, launchd was restored and the libraries were removed.
  • On tvOS 27.2: native Setup through activation to Home, plus Remote navigation, Control Center, Siri search, sleep and wake (#760).
  • Not covered: Irisin's tvOS app, which does not exist yet, and pwd_mkdb, which no tvOS package provides.
