Music-CLI: First Release
This is just my try at building a terminal-based music player, and this marks the first release of Music-CLI. The goal is to provide a lightweight, simple, and powerful way to play and download music directly from the terminal.
Features in This Release ✨
- Play Music: Stream songs from YouTube or play local music with VLC/MPV.
- Download Tracks: Save YouTube songs as MP3 files.
- Library Management: Organize and search your music collection.
- Playback History: Keep track of what you've listened to.
- Custom Themes: Switch between dark, light, or retro themes.
- Multiple Players: Choose between MPV, VLC, or terminal playback.
- Terminal Controls: Control playback directly from the command line.
This is just the beginning, and I plan to add more features and improvements in future versions!
Note: I didn't build this from scratch rather added my own touches while using pytube, yt-dlp and python-vlc packages.
If you have any suggestions or feedback, feel free to share them. Thanks for trying out Music-CLI! 🎶
This might have bugs or not be optimized for your OS, so sorry for that! If you face any issues, feel free to report them.
