  • Oversized output limits no longer force a segment switch every turn. max_tokens / max_completion_tokens are treated as a ceiling and capped to the space actually left in the window; the reduced value is sent to the engine and logged as response_clamped. A genuinely large prompt still switches segment, and the window guard still never lets prompt + response exceed the window. Reported by DarkJezter (pi.dev + Strata).
  • Dashboard no longer crashes on load: five missing copy/export buttons restored; a missing control no longer breaks the page. Reported by DarkJezter.

Tested: full test suite on Linux and Windows (Python 3.10 and 3.14); the reported case reproduced with a simulated engine (25 segment switches in 25 requests → 0); dashboard loaded in headless Chromium with zero JavaScript errors.
