Bloomfolio v1.5.0
This release upgrades Bloomfolio to Astro 7 and adds new tools for publishing and navigating long-form content.
Highlights
- Astro 7 upgrade — Updated to Astro 7.2, Vite 8, TypeScript 6, current Astro integrations, Keystatic, React, DaisyUI, and Lucide packages.
- Blog drafts — Added a Published toggle in Keystatic. Draft posts remain editable in the CMS but are excluded from the homepage and Blog page, and their public URLs return a 404.
- Content sidebar — Blog posts and project pages can now generate an On this page outline from H1–H3 headings, with active-section tracking, collapsible H3 groups, a sticky desktop layout, and a compact mobile view.
- Flexible sidebar settings — Configure sidebar visibility and left/right placement globally, with optional overrides for individual blog posts and projects.
- Improved project browsing — Horizontal and vertical category layouts now include an All view that combines projects across every category.
- Stronger validation and compatibility — Added
npm run check, updated schemas for Astro 7 and Zod 4, improved required-content errors, optimized hackathon images, and cleaned up component compatibility issues. - Updated documentation — Refreshed setup, deployment, content-authoring, and stack documentation for Astro 7, Markdoc, drafts, and content sidebars.
Upgrade note
Astro 7 requires Node.js 22.12.0 or newer. Run npm install, then npm run check and npm run build after upgrading.
