We are excited to bring you Melofy v1.0.5! This release focuses on resolving critical mobile background audio issues, introducing a much smarter offline desktop experience, and streamlining the codebase for developers.

📱 Mobile (Android) Background Audio Overhaul

Previously, background audio would stop abruptly when the application was minimized or the device's screen was turned off. We have completely rewritten the foreground audio service lifecycle and system integration:

• Activity Lifecycle Fix: Removed active stopService triggers from onDestroy() inside MainActivity. The music service now safely survives when the main activity is minimized or suspended.
• System AudioFocus Management: Integrated Android AudioFocusRequest (API 26+) and legacy AudioManager focus listeners. This tells the Android OS that Melofy is actively playing media, preventing the system from unexpectedly pausing or killing the audio when notifications or other system sounds trigger.
• Partial CPU Wake Locks: Added active PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK implementation in MusicService (capped at 3 hours) to prevent the device CPU from entering a deep sleep state during screen-off playback.
• Task Swiping Resilience: Declared android:stopWithTask="false" inside AndroidManifest.xml and implemented onTaskRemoved() in MusicService to ensure background streams survive if the user clears the app from their Recents tray.
• Battery Optimization Permission: Added REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS to allow users to exempt Melofy from aggressive manufacturer-specific power savers (Xiaomi, Samsung, OnePlus, etc.).

💻 Desktop (Tauri) Offline Resilience & UX Upgrades

When the desktop player went offline, clicking "Retry" previously forced an immediate redirect, often resulting in a generic browser error page ("Hmmm... can't reach this page"). We have built a robust reconnect system:

• Smart Connectivity Verification: The retry action now pings the live server (https://melofy.jene.in) in the background using a fast fetch request with a 4-second timeout. If the check fails, the app remains safely on your custom offline screen rather than failing over to the browser page.
• Quiet Auto-Reconnection: Added a silent background interval that polls connection status every 6 seconds. The moment your internet is plugged back in, Melofy automatically redirects you back to the platform without any manual clicks!
• Enhanced UI States: Added a spinning animation to the refresh icon, real-time loading feedback ("Connecting..."), and green/red feedback text to reflect successful recoveries or persistent offline states.

⚙️ Developer & Codebase Improvements

• Monorepo Version Sync: Upgraded all packages across the monorepo to standard version 1.0.5 (versionCode 5 on Android, Cargo/Conf on Tauri Desktop, Express API, Next.js Web App, and the root lockfiles).
• Workspace Turbo Shortcuts: Refactored the root package.json with targeted shortcuts (npm run dev:web, npm run dev:desktop, npm run dev:mobile, npm run dev:api) to easily spin up target packages using turbo filter systems.
• Metadata Alignment: Structured repository properties (bugs, homepage, repository type) and official author attributes pointing directly to your GitHub repository configuration.

• Web: Deployed automatically.
• Desktop: The app will prompt you for update downloads via the Tauri Update Center.
• Mobile: Re-compile the package using npm run dev:mobile and install the newly compiled APK.
