v0.1.13 — Restore pages with Send to Notion

Right-click a paper in Zotero and choose Send to Notion to restore its linked Notion page from the trash, then sync it. The original page URL, personal notes, and reading status are preserved.

• Automatic sync, Retry failed, and Recheck library leave trashed pages alone.
• Recovery checks the destination database and Zotero key before restoring. Unavailable pages are not replaced automatically.
• The trash error now explains how to recover with Send to Notion.

Validation: 106 automated tests pass. The XPI was installed and tested in Zotero 10.0.6 on macOS; an existing trashed page was restored through the item context menu. Custom settings and templates were preserved.

Download the XPI below and install it over the existing plugin. Restart Zotero after updating. updates.json is used by the plugin updater.

v0.1.12 — Zotero notes in your templates

Add child notes to your paper pages with [zotero_notes].

• Put the placeholder once on its own line to choose where notes appear. Both English example templates now include it.
• Multiple child notes appear as individual toggles, with common formatting, LaTeX, simple tables, and supported embedded images.
• Changed notes update independently. Personal page content stays in place; detected Notion-side edits and unconfirmed writes pause for review.
• Removing the placeholder or deleting a Zotero note preserves existing imported content.
• Customized templates and your default selection are preserved. Add [zotero_notes] yourself to enable notes in a custom template.

Validated with 93 automated tests, an isolated Zotero 10.0.6 profile, and a private synthetic Notion page, including actual image uploads and repeated updates. Installed and verified on macOS. See the note-sync guide for formatting limits and conflict recovery.

Zotero2Notion 0.1.11

Zotero now explains how to recover when database properties are missing, and the default template is easier to find and saves automatically.

• Missing required properties: the Zotero message tells you to click Add missing and lists the fields to create.
• Property type conflicts: the message points to Property mapping and Check properties.
• Default template is visible in Templates and saves automatically. Edit template selects only the outline being edited.
• The roadmap now includes handling papers that belong to multiple projects or collections.
• The public Notion template now uses explicit English view names: Table, Board, List, and Gallery.

Install zotero2notion-0.1.11.xpi over the existing plugin. Existing templates and settings are retained.

Validation: 65 automated tests passed. In Zotero on macOS, a custom default template was retained after closing and reopening settings. Windows and Linux UI verification remains pending.

First public release of Zotero2Notion for Zotero 10.0.x.

Download zotero2notion-0.1.10.xpi below. In Zotero: Tools → Plugins → gear menu → Install Plugin From File….

Then open Settings → Zotero2Notion. Use Get token to create a PAT with the Notion API capability. All existing regular items in My Library begin syncing when the connection and database properties are ready.

Existing local 0.1.x installations should install this XPI once to adopt the public update URL. updates.json is for Zotero’s updater; you only need the XPI.

Validation: 63 automated tests and build/archive checks. The underlying PAT flow was checked in Zotero 10.0.6 on macOS using an isolated profile and mocked Notion responses; live PAT testing was completed before public release preparation. Windows/Linux UI behavior has not yet been manually verified.
