Highlights

  • Support DuckDB 1.5.6. The package version now follows DuckDB 1.5.6, and the full test suite passes on DuckDB 1.5.6 with SQLAlchemy 2.0.0, 2.0.52 and 2.1.1. See the DuckDB 1.5.6 release notes for the engine fixes it brings. #193

Compatibility

  • Runtime requirements are unchanged. DuckDB 1.3.0 or newer, SQLAlchemy 2.0 or newer and Python 3.10 or newer are still supported, so you do not need to upgrade DuckDB to install this release. MotherDuck connections still need a DuckDB version that the service supports. #193

Maintenance

  • Lock DuckDB 1.5.6 for development and refresh the documented tested versions for Parquet export and the partitioned Parquet example. #193
  • Report 1.5.6 as the version fallback when the package is imported from a source tree without installed metadata. #193
