levain 0.5.12
Levain is now tested against, and requires, anneal-memory 0.9.33, which refuses to save a continuity above a hard maximum.
Changed
- Levain now requires anneal-memory 0.9.33 or later (
anneal-memory>=0.9.33,<0.10), and 0.9.33 is the version it is tested against. 0.9.33 adds a hard maximum on the saved continuity (anneal_memory.schema.hard_max_chars, 1.25 times the schema's target, the Durable Facts section excluded): a save above it is refused, the refusal is written to anneal's audit trail, and the wrap stays open. It adds no migration entry, so the seed guidance is unchanged. levain wrapnames a hard-maximum refusal for what it is. It already cancelled its own wrap and kept the rejected draft on any refused save; it used to explain every refusal as a dropped section, a mis-cited episode or a too-small memory. A refusal for size now says the memory is longer than the hard maximum, beside anneal's own message naming what to cut. In a Claude Code install the entity wraps over MCP: the refusal is the tool result it reads, and an open wrap left behind is surfaced at the next session start.
