Changes

• Enable configured HTTP CONNECT upstream proxy chains for Windows WFP traffic, using the same runtime configuration and live updates as explicit and macOS transparent ingress.
• Associate WFP redirect records with every next-hop socket before connecting. Record or connection failures close the flow without direct fallback.
• Preserve target ports and use TLS SNI or HTTP Host hostnames when the platform provides only an IP address. Keep existing TLS policy and target certificate verification.
• Reject proxy routes back to the broker listener and add native Windows black-box coverage for routing, TLS, streaming, live updates, and failures.

External proxy processes must be excluded from the Host's interception policy when their outbound traffic would otherwise re-enter the proxy chain.

Downloads

macOS ARM64 and Linux x86_64 CLI archives are available in default and no-local variants, alongside the Windows x86_64 runtime ZIP, installer, and SHA-256 checksums. The broker, Rust SDK, query CLI, and supporting crates are published to crates.io at 1.4.1.

Highlights

• Add configurable HTTP CONNECT upstream proxy chaining for explicit-proxy traffic. The next hop resolves target hostnames, and connection failures do not fall back to direct access.
• Preserve the existing client-to-Abyss and Abyss-to-target TLS trust behavior through the proxy tunnel.
• Add native OpenCode detection, session attribution, and tool/conversation capture across supported provider protocols.
• Improve proxy diagnostics and DSH token accounting when retry results omit cache breakdowns.

Rust integration migration

Rust integrations using abyss-mitm may need source changes:

• FlowContext.original_destination, InterceptedHttpOutcome.original_destination, and TransparentPassthroughOutcome.original_destination now use DestinationAddress. Its socket_addr() returns Option<SocketAddr> because target resolution can belong to the next-hop proxy. Handle an unknown target address explicitly.
• Constructing FlowIngress::ExplicitProxy now requires upstream_proxy and proxy_endpoint; use None for direct flows. Existing destructuring patterns can use .. to ignore these fields.
• Existing flow constructors and with_prepared_upstream(TcpStream) remain available. The AgentEvent plugin protocol is unchanged.
