First test build of LibreBuds for Windows, a fork of OpenFreebuds 0.18.1. Not yet tested on real earbuds. Expect bugs.

Download: librebuds-0.18.1-test.1-portable.exe (portable, no installer). The file is not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first start.

New compared with OpenFreebuds 0.18.1

  • Drivers for FreeBuds 4 (experimental: battery and noise control), FreeBuds 5 and FreeBuds 6 (battery, noise control, gestures, auto pause, equalizer presets, multipoint connect and disconnect; no unpair, no auto-connect, no custom equalizer).
  • Earbuds with an unknown Bluetooth name (for example renamed ones) are recognised by the model code they report.
  • Shared protocol test vectors from the LibreBuds Android project run in CI.
  • The upstream update server is not used; updates come from this releases page.

Confirmed on hardware so far: reading every setting listed above on FreeBuds 5 and 6, switching noise-control mode, and multipoint connect/disconnect. Everything else is still being tested.
