v0.1.1
Synchronised with the Go client
The upstream Go client took ten fixes this week. Four of them applied here and
are in this release:
--jsonand--csvend with a newline, and the emptylibrespeed.org Copyright (C)line is gone from--version— librespeed/speedtest-cli#126--debugreports which address each ICMP ping actually reached, and whether
it went over IPv4 or IPv6 — librespeed/speedtest-cli#128--debugreports the spread of the ping samples, not just the average —
librespeed/speedtest-cli#130- the User-Agent names the operating system and architecture, so a server
operator can tell which kinds of machine measure against them —
librespeed/speedtest-cli#131
The debug wording matches the Go client, so output from the two reads the same.
Fixed here
A backend with ISP detection disabled answers getIP.php with
"rawIspInfo":"" — an empty string where an object is declared. That rejected
the entire response and took processedString down with it, which is the part
actually shown to the user. Malformed or absent ISP information is now
tolerated.
Not carried over
librespeed/speedtest-cli#127 reports the negotiated TLS version and cipher
under --debug. This build links against the system OpenSSL through
native-tls, which does not expose either, so there is nothing to report.
Tested on a Turris 1.x (32-bit PowerPC, mpc85xx) against a live backend.
v0.1.0
A Rust port of the LibreSpeed command line client, for the 32-bit PowerPC
devices the Go client cannot be built for — the Go toolchain targets only
ppc64 and ppc64le, so CZ.NIC Turris 1.x has had no librespeed-cli at all.
Same command line surface as the Go client, all ~40 flags, and --list and
--csv-header output is byte-identical to it.
TLS is pluggable: rustls by default, native-tls against the system OpenSSL
where that is faster or where linking against the system library is
preferable. HTTP/2 where the server offers it.
Licensed LGPL-3.0-only, matching upstream.
