Highlights:
- Fix: Visitors with a valid share link now pass read-permission checks for the shared post, so themes and plugins that call
current_user_can( 'read_post' )show it correctly. - Fix: Share links stop working when the post is moved to the trash, and work again if it is restored.
- Fix: A custom
pds_route_baseno longer triggers a rewrite flush on every admin page load; slashes around the base are now trimmed. - Fix: Disabling, regenerating, expiring, saving, and publishing now purge every cached version of the share URL, including older
?v=versions. - Dev: Tested up to WordPress 7.1. Updated dev lint tooling (resolves 3 Dependabot alerts) and regenerated the translation template.
Upgrade notes:
- The ZIP now contains a
public-draft-share/folder, so uploading it in WordPress updates the existing plugin. If you installed 1.0.1 from its release ZIP, check whether it landed in apublic-draft-share-1.0.1folder. If it did, upload 1.0.2, deactivate the old copy before activating 1.0.2 (both copies can't be active at once), activate 1.0.2, then remove thepublic-draft-share-1.0.1folder by file manager, SFTP, orrm -rf. Don't use "Delete" in WP Admin: that runs the plugin's uninstall routine, which removes all share links. - If you use a custom
pds_route_basewith leading or trailing slashes, visit Settings → Permalinks and click "Save Changes" once.
