Microphone can't be toggled on/off using media key

Media key (keyboard specific key) to mute/unmute the microphone does not work

Other media keys like the volume keys work fine. I can also map the shortcut to another key combo and it works fine.

Steps to reproduce

Press the microphone mute key on the keyboard

Expected behavior

The microphone becomes muted, or unmuted if it was already muted

Additional information

I have tried adding it as a shortcut in the preferences but pressing the mute key doesn't do anything (can't set the shortcut)

The PC is an Acer swift go 16.

Please try the Enhanced Sound applet v13.5.0. See the FAQ (Keyboard shortcuts are not respecting volume step) in README.

Tried but still didn't work. I investigated further and found that the key is not even recognized by showkey in the terminal.

I've used the '<Shift>AudioMute' shortcut in the Shortcuts tab of this applet settings and it works well. The version of this applet must be 13.5.0.

I can succesfully bind mute to any other key, just not this one which is annoying because it's supposed to be the mute key 😅

I don't have a special key on my keyboard to mute the mic.
