Changed
- The marker is a highlighter, as on macOS. It follows the pointer instead of drawing
a straight line from where you pressed to where you let go, so it can follow a sloping
line of text or circle something. It draws a broad, see-through band six times the width
shown on the toolbar, so the text under it stays readable. Before, it drew a thin opaque
line that covered what it was meant to mark. - Line widths and sizes are in points, as on macOS, so a mark looks as thick on a
display scaled to 175% as on one at 100%. This covers lines, text, numbers, stamps and
the magnifier. Before, they were in screen pixels, so at 175% a width of 3 drew a line
little more than half as thick as on macOS. On a scaled display, new marks are now
thicker and larger than before. - A selected pencil or marker stroke is outlined around its whole width, rather than
through the middle of it.
Added
- Hold Shift to keep a pencil or marker stroke straight, as on macOS. The stroke
follows whichever direction you move first, horizontal or vertical, from the point
where you pressed Shift.
Note
- If you had changed the marker's width, it goes back to 3 once. The number now means
something different, and the old setting would have drawn a band six times too wide.
Highlights in captures you saved earlier reopen from the history at the width they were
drawn at, but they are now see-through.
