Changed
- The editor opens a capture at the size it was on screen, as on macOS. On a display
scaled to 175%, a capture used to open in the editor 175% larger than it was, with its
handles and marks enlarged to match. It now opens at 100% with one pixel of the capture
to one pixel of the screen, and marks and handles are the size they were when you drew
them. Captures reopened from the history open the same way. - Image files open at their own size. The editor reads the file's resolution, as
macOS does, so a 96 DPI image opens at its size in points. On a display scaled to 175%
it looks larger than its pixel count, exactly as a 72 DPI image does on a Retina Mac. - Arrowheads, number badges, the padding around labels, dotted lines and the other
sizes you do not set are in points too, so on a scaled display they are no longer
smaller than on macOS. 0.8.24 did this for the sizes on the toolbar; this finishes it. - The smart marker works as on macOS while you draw. The band stays level from where
you pressed and is as thick as the line of text under the pointer from the start. The
pointer becomes a yellow highlighter tip. Before, the band followed the pointer at the
toolbar's width and only snapped to the text when you let go. - "Save at standard resolution" uses the scale the capture was taken at. An image
opened from a file is no longer shrunk by your display's scaling when you save it.
Fixed
- The editor's tool options are no longer cut off at the bottom of the window.
- The editor window opens big enough to show the capture and its toolbars on a
scaled display. - The text box in the editor is the size the label will be, so the text no longer
changes size when you press Enter.
Note
- Captures in the history from earlier versions open as before, because they were
saved without the scale they were taken at. Only captures taken with this version open
at 1:1. - WebP and AVIF files do not store a resolution, so they open at one point per pixel.
