- Drop the traceback, context and cause of the exception kept by
connection_lost. They reference the transport, which references the protocol, so every dropped connection (protocol, buffers and, for TLS, the SSL transport and its state) stayed alive until a full gc pass. Idle processes that recycle pooled TLS connections grew steadily (#171). - Fix
BufferError: Existing exports of datawhen fetching a row larger than 256 KiB on Windows (ProactorEventLoop). The receive buffer now grows into a replacement buffer instead of resizing a bytearray the transport still holds (#170). - Keep the receive buffer shared across TLS reads, so successive SSL records fill one contiguous buffer instead of being split across copies.
- Optimize pooled prepared-query execution and refresh the benchmark suite.
- Drop Python 3.9 support; asyncmy now requires Python 3.10 or newer.
