v0.1.7
GPUI Fast v0.1.7 moves to the gpui-pre 0.3.9 snapshot, syncs GPUI with Zed 93d7456, and keeps retention and scroll layers working in real applications so long lists scroll with far less CPU.
- Pin the
gpui-pre-*support crates and compat crates to=0.3.9, the snapshot of the same Zed commit, so GPUI Kit can move to gpui-pre 0.3.9 together with GPUI Fast. - Sync GPUI with Zed 93d7456: frame pacing measured against each window's refresh rate, per-window display tracking,
uniform_listlayout far down long lists, fallback fonts on Linux, and blurred window backgrounds on macOS 27. - Keep retention and scroll layers on for ordinary application and component patterns; animation frames are scoped to the content that asked for them.
- Keep a list row's layout nodes lingering when a view in it is laid out again, and keep a long chat transcript on its scroll layer while it scrolls.
- Hold hover still for 100 ms while the wheel scrolls under a still pointer, so wheel scrolling does not re-render the rows it passes. This changes hover timing for every application.
Changes: #48, #53, #55, #56, #57, #58, and #59. No new public API.
