AbstractContinuum 0.8.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 02 Nov 09:52
92380ff

On AbstractUIC 0.9.0 (@abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.12, @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.7.0, @abstractframework/app-server ^0.1.13).

  • Changed: the top bar's account is the kit's ONE account widget (operator ruling 2026-10-29: the docs button,
    Appearance, About and the account are the same kit components in every app). Signed in, one button shows the
    person icon, your name and the connection light; its menu holds Signed in as, Gateway, Copy user id and Disconnect.
    It replaces the Disconnect pill. AfTopBarActions now gets identity="menu" and the useGatewayConnection() value
    itself. Test: src/top_bar_set.test.tsx.
  • Changed: the Team page's message box and the backlog advisor's box are the shared rounded multiline composer from
    @abstractframework/panel-chat 0.7.0. The composer renders the Attach button itself, so each box's own attach
    button is gone; the advisor's hold-to-talk microphone sits beside Send as an icon-only button (its "Voice" text label
    is dropped; its name stays "Voice input"). Team keeps its message type, member and room controls on the composer's
    left, Send is the composer's round icon button whose name still says Send, Ask, Reply, Send DM or Create room, and
    Enter / Shift+Enter behave as before; Enter now also creates a room from a member list alone, as the
    button already did. Its Attach button is a plus icon named "Attach a file". Like every shared composer, the box
    turns off the browser's spell-check, autocorrect and auto-capitalisation.
  • Changed (from the kit): the Docs assistant's footer reads "Powered by AbstractContinuum’s documentation.".
  • Changed (from the kit): a chat approval card lists the tool calls it asks about in words (panel-chat 0.6.5).
  • Fixed: on the Team page, reading a message aloud after you change the voice speaks it again in the new voice
    instead of resuming the old one (ui-kit 0.9.6 tts_voice).
  • Dependencies: @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.7.0 (was ^0.6.4) and @abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.12
    (was ^0.9.5).

AbstractContinuum 0.7.6

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Oct 22:10
524482b

On AbstractUIC 0.8.4 (@abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.5, @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.6.4, @abstractframework/app-server ^0.1.13).

  • Fixed (from the kit): in the backlog advisor (advisor_drawer.tsx, panel-chat's ChatThread), the new task's AI Assist (new_task_modal.tsx) and the app assistant (AssistantPanel), a message's stamp carries the date when it is not from today ("Yesterday · 10:52 PM", "Oct 21 · 10:52 PM"; the full date on hover); in the advisor a reply with no text keeps its speaker, disabled with the reason (AbstractUIC backlog 0064, the message footer spec). The Team page's hub message rows are a different surface (reactions, reply, retract) and keep their own actions; backlog 0021.

AbstractContinuum 0.7.5

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Oct 15:22
7bf45db
  • Fixed (QA item (11)): a fresh install without a hub seat key showed raw 503s (hub_seat_unavailable) because the
    Board's live claims, a card's hub activity and the Team page fired hub calls before reading api/hub/meta. They read
    it first; unconfigured, they fire no hub route (and the Team page opens no socket) and say "The team hub is not
    configured." with the proxy's sentence on how to configure it (api/hub/meta now carries setup); the Desk tab says
    the same. A key added later is picked up without a reload (Team re-reads meta every 15 s and when the tab comes back;
    the Board at its 30 s tick). Tests: src/ui/board/hub_not_configured.test.tsx (5) and two Team page pins; each red
    without its check. Adversarial review (Opus): the not-configured state never re-checked, the Desk tab still fired,
    the card-activity gate was untested: fixed.

AbstractContinuum 0.7.4

On AbstractUIC 0.8.3 (@abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.5, @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.6.3, @abstractframework/app-server ^0.1.13).

  • Fixed (from the kit): in the backlog advisor (advisor_drawer.tsx, panel-chat's ChatThread), a reply's speaker and copy buttons are always visible (they appeared only on hover); the speaker shows a spinner only while the first audio is generated, then Pause, and Play when paused.

On AbstractUIC 0.8.2 (@abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.4, @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.6.2, @abstractframework/app-server ^0.1.13).

  • Fixed: the connection dialog says "Gateway … did not answer" when the gateway is down (it said "Session rejected — sign in again").
  • Also from the kit: the model picker's "Custom" is no longer cut.

AbstractContinuum 0.7.2

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Oct 08:54
9ba5b65
  • Built on @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.6.0 (AbstractUIC 0.8.0), up from ^0.5.0. Nothing else changes: Continuum
    does not read run state itself (it calls backlog/advisor synchronously, and uses a run id only as the anchor of
    voice and artifact routes); its run views are panel-chat's own (the Docs assistant drawer). The replay view
    (AbstractUIC backlog 0040, root 0993) therefore needs no change here.

AbstractContinuum 0.7.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Oct 01:15
cac626b
  • Built on @abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.9.2 and @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.5.0 (AbstractUIC 0.7.2), up from ui-kit ^0.8.0 / panel-chat ^0.4.0.
  • CI: npm run check:lock (also a CI step, before npm ci) fails when package-lock.json lags package.json or resolves an @abstractframework/* dependency below its floor, in another major.minor or from a local tarball; --latest also catches a published patch the lock has not taken. The lock now resolves @abstractframework/app-server 0.1.12 (floor ^0.1.12). See CONTRIBUTING.

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Oct 23:31

The About dialog is the compact card shared by every AbstractFramework app.
Nothing changes in the server, its flags or the gateway it needs.

Added

  • Docs assistant. A book button in the top bar opens the chat shared by The app's CSP allows blob: images (the attached image's thumbnail is an in-page object URL, never a request).
    every AbstractFramework app: it answers from Continuum's own documentation
    (llms.txt, now shipped in the build and served at /llms.txt) through the
    gateway's docs-qa workflow, with streaming, copy, attachments and an icon to
    start a new conversation. The advisor keeps its own button. Needs a gateway
    that serves GET /api/gateway/docs/corpus?app=continuum.

Changed

  • About is a compact card. The (i) About button opens a short card with
    the Continuum name and version, the AbstractFramework and AbstractGateway
    versions your gateway reports, one row of links (Website, Source, Docs,
    Issues, Feedback, Contact) and the copyright and licence line. It no longer
    lists every package installed on the gateway. When the gateway cannot
    answer, the gateway version says why (for example
    "unavailable (HTTP 404: Not Found)").
  • Dependencies: @abstractframework/ui-kit ^0.8.0 and
    @abstractframework/panel-chat ^0.4.0.

AbstractContinuum 0.6.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 01 Oct 01:27

Phones and tablets use the whole screen on the list and detail pages: the
Board, Backlog, the work-item drawer, Executions, the Inbox and the Team page.
On/off settings are switches labelled by what they control; the switch shows
the state. Everyone using the web console is affected; nothing changes in the
server, its flags or the gateway it needs. Desktop windows keep their layout;
the list headers gain a chevron.

Added

  • Collapsible lists. The Board columns, Executions' Active and
    Recently finished lists and the Inbox report and email lists have a
    chevron in their header. A list starts open; closing it hides its items and
    gives the detail the room, and each list remembers its state in this
    browser. On tablets and desktops, closing the Inbox list (or both Executions
    lists) gives the detail the full width.

Changed

  • Executions and the Inbox on phones show the list above the detail in one
    scrolling page instead of one pane at a time. Picking a run or a report
    scrolls to it; Back / ← Back to the list scrolls back up.
  • Flat sections on phones. Lists and details are no longer boxes inside the
    page: items are separated by thin lines, the selected one keeps its accent,
    and nothing scrolls inside the page except the spec editor. The run's event
    log is part of the page, the four Executions figures fit on one row, and
    Team messages and replies use the full width.
  • Run facts on one line on phones ("Model gpt-5-codex"); paths such as the
    run folder or the candidate take a full line of their own.
  • Text size on phones and tablets. Body text is 15 px and small text 14 px;
    chips, ids and times are 12–13 px. Your text size setting still applies.
  • Team page on tablets (below 1024 px) uses the phone layout: one pane at a
    time, with ← Channels.
  • Two columns on tablets only when both are at least 360 px wide. On a
    tablet the Executions and Inbox lists are 360 px or wider next to the detail.
  • Gateway administration. Exec runner and Process manager are
    switches that apply at once and say the new state ("Process manager is
    on."). A refused change keeps the old state and shows the gateway's reason.
    Someone who is not a gateway admin sees the switches with the reason they
    cannot change them ("Only a gateway admin can change this."). The
    Enable / Disable buttons and the separate on / off chips are gone; a
    degraded chip still appears when the runner is on but cannot run.
  • Custom voice (Settings → Voice) is a switch; the voice fields show
    while it is on.
  • Auto-refresh is a switch on the Services page and in the Executions
    live log, which used to show "Auto on" / "Auto off". In the live log it is
    unavailable until an execution is picked.
  • Private in the Team page's new-channel form is a switch; Create
    stays the one action.

Fixed

  • Plain http from another machine (LAN, Tailscale). Browsers withhold
    crypto.randomUUID, crypto.subtle, the clipboard API and the microphone
    outside https and localhost. Ids now come from the kit's randomId(), the
    backlog and ledger hashes use a plain SHA-256 when crypto.subtle is
    missing (same hashes), Copy on a process log falls back to a text
    selection copy and says "Copied" or "Copy failed — select and copy", and
    over plain http the advisor's voice control is disabled and says why: "This
    page is loaded over http, so voice and camera is unavailable — open it over
    https (for example through tailscale serve; the gateway console's Network
    page explains how) or on the gateway's own computer." Needs
    @abstractframework/ui-kit 0.4.0 and @abstractframework/panel-chat 0.2.2.
  • Long paths no longer run off the screen: the candidate line in the
    work-item drawer's Review tab, and long words or paths in a report or a spec.
  • On phones, the Board no longer scrolls behind an open work-item drawer.

AbstractContinuum 0.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 30 Sep 14:26

Continuum adapts to the screen: desktop windows of any size, tablets and
phones, in portrait and landscape. Everyone using the web console is
affected; nothing changes in the server, its flags or the gateway it needs
(AbstractGateway 0.4.1 or newer standalone, 0.7.0 or newer under
/apps/continuum/). Desktop windows 1440 px and wider keep their layout.
See Responsive layout.

Added

  • Menu drawer below 1024 px. On tablets and narrow windows the sidebar
    becomes a menu opened from the header button; Escape, a tap outside or
    Close menu closes it, and the page behind it is inactive while it is
    open.
  • Team page, one pane at a time on phones. Pick a channel to open its
    thread and use ← Channels to return. The thread keeps the screen: one
    bar holds ← Channels, the channel name and More, which shows the
    filters, search, sort, channel actions and the Assistant / Members / Files /
    Leaderboard / Desk panels. The message box takes the width and Send is an
    icon button. Short landscape windows use the same layout.
  • List, then detail on phones for Executions and the Inbox (reports and
    email), with ← Back to the list.
  • Backlog cards on phones: one card per item, title first, actions
    underneath.

Changed

  • Team page on laptops and tablets (768 to 1439 px): an open panel sits
    beside the thread and the channel list steps aside; from 1440 px channels,
    thread and panel stay side by side. The filter bar wraps onto a second row
    when the thread column is narrow.
  • Dialogs are sheets on phones and in short landscape windows (New task,
    Execute, the file viewer): they open from the bottom of the screen with an
    opaque surface, their buttons stay visible and they rise above the on-screen
    keyboard. The work-item drawer is full width on phones.
  • Escape closes the top dialog or drawer only. In the work-item drawer it
    does nothing while you are typing or editing the spec.
  • Touch screens: buttons, rows, tabs and checkboxes are at least 44 px,
    form fields use 16 px text (no zoom on focus), and messages, reports, specs
    and form labels use the 14 px reading size. Message actions sit under the
    message.
  • The header always fits: the page title shortens with an ellipsis and on
    phones + New task shows as +.
  • Wide windows: board lanes use the full width from 1440 px; messages and
    documents keep a readable line length. The backlog table's optional columns
    (labels, package) follow the width of the table.
  • Uses @abstractframework/ui-kit 0.3.2 and @abstractframework/panel-chat
    0.2.1.
  • A source checkout builds on its own: the UI kit comes from npm, no sibling
    AbstractUIC checkout is needed.
