There are difficulties with this version:

  1. Hook redcap_save_record is not called when randomising (at least up to REDCap v9.7.8). This version requires this call to be added in the core code.
  2. If the randomisation number and/or time field is on the same form as the randomisation allocation then the inputs are not populated in the browser. They values will be loaded on page refresh, but then any other data entry on the page will be lost.
