Breaking Changes
- Remove the nonfunctional
cache-warmcommand — Existing invocations now print a removal notice to stderr and exit 1 instead of reporting success. Removecache-warminvocations from scripts and workflows before upgrading. The old heartbeat never contacted the Anthropic API and did not keep the server-side prompt cache warm; this release also removes its background process and misleading graph-summary badge. Heartbeat processes started by older installations expire on their original schedule, and leftover local files are inert (#200) @luongnv89
Added
- Account email in the statusline (
show_account) — shows the logged-in Claude account's email after the model name (e.g.Opus 4.6·high | me@example.com) so you can tell which account a session runs under. Read locally fromoauthAccount.emailAddressin$CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR/.claude.json(else~/.claude.json); hidden for API-key sessions. Off by default because the email is personal data; enable withshow_account=true, color viacolor_account
Removed
cache-warmcommand —context-stats cache-warmnever contacted the Anthropic API. Its background "heartbeat" only rewrote a local.heartbeatfile that nothing read, so it could not keep the server-side prompt cache warm, and theCache Warm: activesummary badge and "Cache-warm activated" message were misleading. The command, its background process, the graph-summary badge, and the documentation that described it have been removed. Invokingcache-warmin any form now prints a removal notice to stderr and exits 1. The "no network requests" guarantee is unchanged (#198)
Fixed
- Misleading cache-warm claims — Removed the documentation claims that
cache-warmkept the prompt cache alive and that its savings appeared in theexportreport. The historical 1.16.0 changelog entry also claimed a Windows subprocess fallback that never existed: on platforms withoutos.forkthe command exited with an error (#198)
Dependencies
- Development dependency security updates — Bump
virtualenvto 21.7.16,urllib3to 2.8.0, andpython-discoveryto 1.6.2 to address the new dependency advisories while retaining Python 3.10–3.14 compatibility (#203) @luongnv89
Changed
- OpenSpec cleanup — Remove archived OpenSpec specifications and changes, the ignore entry, and stale archive references; runtime behavior is unchanged (#204) @luongnv89
Contributors
- @luongnv89 contributed the account-email option (#201), cache-warm removal (#200), dependency updates (#203), and OpenSpec cleanup (#204).
