TerseForge v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@luucabg luucabg released this 27 Jul 01:37
028e662

TerseForge 0.2.0 makes the local workflow more reliable and useful on large TypeScript and JavaScript repositories.

Highlights:

  • persistent incremental context index with selective reparsing
  • dependency expansion for reexports, dynamic imports, CommonJS require calls, and tsconfig path aliases
  • tool-aware diagnostic pruning for TypeScript, ESLint, Vitest, and Jest
  • explicit terseforge clean retention cleanup with dry-run support
  • automatic /.terseforge/ Git protection and linked-state-directory rejection
  • reproducible five-fixture component benchmark

safe remains the default. Complete raw artifacts remain recoverable, required quality gates still fail closed, and no server or remote telemetry is introduced.

The included component benchmark reports 54.29% visible-byte reduction for safe, 76.48% for lean, and 86.10% for ultra. These figures do not claim equivalent total-token, cost, or code-quality changes.

Upgrade:

npm install --global terseforge@0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@luucabg luucabg released this 23 Jul 16:23

TerseForge is now available as a public npm package. This release makes npm the primary installation path and adds a secretless trusted-publishing workflow with npm provenance support.

Highlights:

  • Install with npm install --global terseforge
  • Reproducible publishing from the exact Git tag
  • Full checks before every npm publication
  • Updated README, skill instructions, llms.txt, and maintainer documentation

The v0.1.1 package was the initial bootstrap publication. v0.1.2 is the documented public release.

TerseForge v0.1.1

@luucabg luucabg released this 23 Jul 15:48
86b8376

TerseForge v0.1.1 hardens the recovery, timeout, context, and verification contracts identified during external review.

Highlights:

  • byte-preserving full and ranged output recovery
  • exact stdout and stderr artifacts plus a sequenced best-effort merged view
  • bounded two-phase process-tree termination
  • quality gates that distinguish passed, failed, timed out, and not configured
  • handoffs tied only to the latest complete check
  • tracked and untracked TS/JS context, match-centered snippets, one-hop import expansion, and bounded maps
  • multiline diagnostic context and stricter integration detection

Validation:

  • 73 automated tests
  • type checking, ESLint, coverage, production build, CLI smoke tests, and benchmark
  • CI passed on Windows, macOS, and Linux with Node.js 22 and 24
  • zero production dependency vulnerabilities reported by npm audit

The package is not published to npm. Install from source using the README instructions.
