LW Migration v1.0.1

Warning

Alpha version. LW Migration is still in alpha: it is not recommended for production sites. Try it on a test or staging site, and keep another backup of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Installation

Download lw-migration-1.0.1.zip below, then in WordPress go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Requires WordPress 6.6 and PHP 8.0 or newer.

Fixed

  • Backups no longer stop on hosts that disable PHP's link() or ignore_user_abort() function; files are copied instead.

Security

  • A destination's stored password is only used with the server it was saved for, also when saving the destination fails or a backup runs while it is being edited. Such a destination asks for the password again instead.
  • Command-line output and the job log show control characters from archive contents and connected sites as visible escapes.
  • Updated development dependencies.
