What's new in 1.78

ROOT has one place in the Retro view's instrument editor. The Note column no longer offers ROOT. Choose it under "After the last note" instead, where it always did the same thing: after the last note, the sound settles on the note written in the pattern.

  • ROOT in the Note column could disagree with the "After the last note" choice, ignored the frame it was placed on, and disappeared when you came back to the instrument. None of that can happen now.
  • Leave a Note cell blank to end the note program there.
  • Existing songs and instruments play exactly as before.
