Minimum Swift version is now 6.2
swift-tools-version moves to 6.2. async-http-client 1.37.0 deleted its Package@swift-6.1.swift shim manifest, so a Swift 6.1 toolchain now reads tools-version 6.2 from that package and refuses to resolve it — the floor the dependency already imposes is now declared here as well. Consumers still on Swift 6.1 must move to 6.2, or stay on async-http-client <= 1.36.2.
Dependencies
async-http-client resolved to 1.37.0. Source-compatible: no API changes, plus a debug-build crash fix when the request body stream finishes after a >= 300 response head, and @unchecked dropped from compiler-checkable Sendable conformances.
Pins that move:
- swift-nio 2.101.3 → 2.105.0
- swift-crypto 4.5.1 → 5.1.1
- swift-collections 1.6.0 → 1.7.5
- swift-certificates 1.19.4 → 1.21.1
- swift-distributed-tracing 1.4.1 → 1.7.3
- swift-http-types 1.6.0 → 1.8.0
- swift-log 1.15.0 → 1.16.2
- swift-configuration 1.2.0 → 1.4.0
- swift-service-lifecycle 2.11.0 → 2.13.0
- swift-async-algorithms 1.1.5 → 1.1.7
- swift-asn1 1.7.1 → 1.7.4
- swift-system 1.8.0 → 1.8.1
- async-http-client 1.36.0 → 1.37.0
swift-testing stays pinned to 6.1.3 (the pin existed for the Swift 6.1 runners).
CI
- Ubuntu build matrix: 6.2 / 6.3 / 6.4 (6.1 dropped;
swift:latestis 6.4 today). - macOS build job:
macOS-15→macos-latest, because macOS-15 ships Swift 6.1.2 and the package can no longer be built there.
No source-code changes in CouchDBClient; the DocC Hummingbird tutorial snippets and the README state the new floor.
