What's new

Themes and a simpler window: Ayu, Everforest and One Dark Pro, sidebars in their colours, Settings on one page, and text that never runs off the side.

  • One Light's text a little softer: its near-black is a dark grey.
  • LaTeX drawn by KaTeX: $…$ in the text, $$…$$ on its own; a click edits it. KaTeX is loaded only for a Note that has a formula.
  • Mermaid diagrams drawn from ```mermaid code blocks, in the theme's colours; a click edits the source. Mermaid is loaded only for a Note that has one.
  • Open in Ghostty (or the user's terminal) in the menu of a folder in Files, and File → Open Vault in ….
  • The sidebars and the Quick switcher in the theme's panel colour, solid, not translucent.
  • Settings on one page, grouped as System Settings does: Appearance, Text, Writing, Excluded folders and the Daily note; nearly square at first.
  • Help: Keyboard Shortcuts (⇧⌘/), and Noteki's page, release notes and issues on GitHub.
  • Spelling: Settings and Edit → Spelling and Grammar are the same two switches, WebKit's own.
  • Settings → Theme: Ayu, Everforest or One Dark Pro, each light and dark; Settings → Appearance: as the Mac is, or always light or dark.
  • Settings: a font for code, no limit to the line length, and spelling check and correction each switched on or off.
  • Settings → Line length in characters, not points: a line keeps its number of characters when the text size or zoom changes. A width chosen before is kept as wide.
  • The text never scrolls sideways: a wide table has its columns shrunk to fit, and a table's source or the Properties' YAML longer than the text wraps while the cursor is in it.
  • Settings → Interface size: Small, Medium or Large for the sidebars, the Tabs, the panes and the Quick switcher; Medium at first, a little larger than before.
  • Images on the web (![](https://…)) are drawn, as Obsidian does.
  • A middle click closes a Tab.
  • SVGs written in a Note (<svg>…</svg>, as web clippers save diagrams) are drawn.
  • A Property's single item below its key (author: then - "[[name]]") no longer breaks letter by letter.
