What a gate denied, on record. The agent no longer asks the human by chat
for what kj refused it: every deny of the Sentinel leaves a record with the
gate's own words, and a handoff is registered only against that record. With
it, two fixes that left sessions stuck: an inherited runtime file could not
be untracked without --no-verify, and the agent could not report through the
very command the Sentinel sent it to.

Added

  • kj handoff: what a gate denied, registered with the gate's why (KJC-TSK-0968, HUM-E, ADR 0018): every deny of the Sentinel's PreToolUse gate appends a line next to its state (tool, the exact Bash command or the path an edit aimed at, never file contents, and the gate's own words). kj handoff add -- <command> registers a handoff only for a command that record knows byte for byte, with the gate's why, never a text of the agent; kj handoff list and kj handoff show <id> read it, and a handoff whose bytes no longer match its sha256 is not read. Reading it with facts and a cross-AI risk opinion, and running it by id as a catalog act, come next.

Fixed

  • Untracking a runtime file is no longer refused by the pre-commit (KJC-BUG-0307): the rule that keeps agent runtime files out of commits read deletions too, so a repo that dragged a tracked .kj/run.log could not commit its git rm --cached. Deletions are left out; adding a runtime file is still refused.
  • The agent can report through kj report-issue (KJC-BUG-0306, #2042): the lane guard read as quoted paths the --error, --command, --scope and --tests values and the title of kj hu add and kj adr add; they are prose now, and the deny says that text with code quotes or a dollar goes in single quotes. The gate that sends issues for karajan-code to kj report-issue reads the gh subcommand by words instead of the words gh, issue and create anywhere.
