Clipee v0.3.2
Install it, or update it, with one file
🖥️ Windows
Download Clipee-win-Setup.exe below and double-click it.
That's all — it installs Clipee for your Windows account (no administrator password), adds it to the Start menu and starts it in the system tray. Press Ctrl+Alt+V to open it. If your PC doesn't have the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime yet, the installer fetches it first. Clipee isn't code-signed yet, so Windows may say it's an unrecognized app: choose More info → Run anyway. If double-clicking does nothing, Windows has blocked the downloaded file: right-click it → Properties → tick Unblock at the bottom → OK, then double-click it again.
Already have it? There's nothing to do. Clipee checks for updates in the background and installs them the next time it starts. Settings → General → Check now does it on demand.
🧳 Without the installer
Take Clipee-win-Portable.zip instead, unzip it wherever you like and run Clipee.exe. Clipee runs on Windows 10 and 11; there's no Mac or Linux version.
Clipee is free, with no ads and no tracking. If it saves you time, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.
New features & enhancements
- Snippets can use your own date and time formats, like {date:dddd d MMMM}, and offsets, like {date+7d} for a week from today.
- Snippets can ask you for a value when you paste them: {ask:Client} for typed text, or {ask:Tone=Formal|Casual} for a pick list.
- The snippet editor has an Insert menu that adds placeholders for you, and a preview that shows what will be pasted.
- The popup's shortcut hints now sit below a thin divider, on two tidy lines, and say more plainly what each key does.
- The supporter adornment in the Settings sidebar now sits beside the version number.
Bug fixes
- None in this release.
