Clipee v0.5.0
Install it, or update it, with one file
🖥️ Windows
Download Clipee-win-Setup.exe below and double-click it.
That is all — it installs Clipee for your Windows account (no administrator password), adds it to the Start menu and starts it in the system tray. Press Ctrl+Alt+V to open it. If your PC does not have the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime yet, the installer fetches it first. Clipee is not code-signed yet, so Windows may say it is an unrecognized app: choose More info → Run anyway. If double-clicking does nothing, Windows has blocked the downloaded file: right-click it → Properties → tick Unblock at the bottom → OK, then double-click it again.
Already have it? There is nothing to do. Clipee checks for updates in the background and installs them the next time it starts. Settings → General → Check now does it on demand.
🧳 Without the installer
Take Clipee-win-Portable.zip instead, unzip it wherever you like and run Clipee.exe. Clipee runs on Windows 10 and 11; there is no Mac or Linux version.
Clipee is free, with no ads and no tracking. If it saves you time, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.
New features & enhancements
- If you have supported Markticulous on Ko-fi, Clipee can now confirm it. Type the email you used on Ko-fi and click Check. Only a scrambled version of the email (a hash) is sent to markticulous.com, and only when you click Check. You can skip the check, as before.
- Once confirmed, the About page shows "Supporter • verified ♥" and the Support Markticulous item leaves the tray menu.
- If you skipped the check, you can run it later from Confirm with Ko-fi on the About page.
- Clipee asks for support at most six times, at least 45 days apart. The option to stop asking for good appears from the third time.
- The About page shows the app icon, the wordmark and the version. The Markticulous plate stays in the sidebar footer, and the supporter adornment sits on the version line.
- The supporter adornment's tooltip now reads "I supported Markticulous", because one Ko-fi supports every Markticulous app.
- Back to top in the User Guide now glides to a stop.
Bug fixes
- On the About page, the None adornment is centred, and choosing an adornment no longer moves the app name in the sidebar.

New features & enhancements
- Rest the pointer on a clip, in any layout, to see the whole clip with its type, app, time and length in a speech bubble beside it. Screenshots show larger and sharp. Turn it off under Settings → Appearance → Show details on hover.
- The amber selection now slides smoothly from clip to clip, and the clip under the pointer gets a pale amber highlight.
- Compact keeps every clip on one line, the selected one too, and is now listed first among the layouts.
- New keys in the popup: Home and End jump to the first or last clip when the search box is empty (Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End always do), and Page Up and Page Down move one screenful.
Bug fixes
- The Compact layout's description in Settings now matches what it does.
- Settings → General → Show all shortcuts lists every shortcut without scrolling.

Bug fixes
- Pinned clips stay at the top of the popup however long your history grows.
- With more than 200 newer clips, pins that had not been used for a while dropped out of the list, and the Pinned section disappeared.
- They were never deleted: after this update they are back where they belong.

New features & enhancements
- A refreshed logo: the paperclip's curves are wider and taller, in the tray, the Start menu and the app.
- Settings, About shows Clipee's drawn wordmark beside the logo.
- Buttons take a soft accent tint when the pointer is over them, a little deeper when pressed.
- The Clipee name in the popup header and the Settings sidebar is a little larger, and the "A Markticulous build" plate is tidier, with its letters centred.
Bug fixes
- When Windows updates .NET while Clipee is running, Clipee now restarts itself cleanly. Before, it could stay in the tray without responding until it was closed and started again.
- Buttons that show an icon with a label now grey out fully when they are disabled.

New features & enhancements
- Switch layouts from the popup itself: the new list button next to its close button opens Comfortable, Compact, Detailed and Preview, with the current one ticked.
- Clips are now grouped by month and year instead of Today, Yesterday and Earlier: This month, then Sep 2026, Aug 2026 and so on, then one heading per year. A new tickbox in Settings, Appearance turns the headings off for one plain list.
- Compact now reads like a table: tinted month headings and rows in alternating shades, without the coloured stripes.
- The selected clip sits on a light amber band in every layout, with a gold bar in Compact.
- Detailed now shows more on every clip's second line: when you copied it, and its characters, words and lines. Images show their file size.
- Character and word counts also appear on the selected clip in Comfortable and Compact, and in the Preview panel.
- The right-click menu is grouped with dividers, and Pin, Delete and Ignore copies from are always at the bottom.
- Holding Del to delete a clip now takes 1.1 seconds, a little quicker than before.
- Settings, Appearance mentions the new layout button.
Bug fixes
- The hints at the bottom of the popup now wrap between hints, so a shortcut such as Ctrl+P is never split across two lines.
- In Settings, About, the "I have already supported" button is now as wide as Support Markticulous above it.
Clipee v0.3.5
Install it, or update it, with one file

Clipee is free, with no ads and no tracking. If it saves you time, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.
Bug fixes
- When Windows Update installed a new version of .NET while Clipee was running, Clipee could crash the next time you used it, for example when you right-clicked the tray icon.
- Clipee now checks for this every two minutes, and again whenever you open its menu or popup or press one of its shortcuts.
- When it finds that .NET has changed, it quietly restarts itself onto the new version. A background check waits until Clipee's windows are closed, so it never interrupts you.
Clipee v0.3.4
Install it, or update it, with one file

Clipee is free, with no ads and no tracking. If it saves you time, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.
New features & enhancements
- A snippet's shortcut can now copy the snippet instead of pasting it. In the snippet editor, under When pressed, choose Paste it or Copy it to the clipboard.
- Copying fills in the snippet just as pasting does, including any fill-in questions, then leaves it on the clipboard for you to paste with Ctrl+V.
- Settings, Snippets shows "copies" next to shortcuts that copy.
- New in Settings, General: Show all shortcuts lists every Clipee shortcut, including your snippet shortcuts. Save it as a text file headed with Clipee's name and version.
- The user guide shows each popup layout side by side, and explains the {cursor} placeholder with an example.
Bug fixes
- An update that was waiting for a restart could be out of date by the time you restarted, so Clipee then had to update a second time. Clipee now keeps checking while an update waits, and checks once more when you restart, so you go straight to the latest version.

New features & enhancements
- Snippets can have their own shortcut that pastes them straight into the app you are using, without opening Clipee.
- Set a snippet's shortcut in the snippet editor. Clipee refuses shortcuts it already uses and ones another snippet has.
- Settings, Snippets shows each snippet's shortcut, and marks any that another app has taken so you can pick a new one.
- Notes and status messages in Settings and the snippet windows now look the same everywhere. Warnings are red, and long text wraps inside the window instead of running off its edge.
- In Settings, the Edit and Delete buttons under Snippets are greyed out until you select a snippet, and Add under Ignored apps waits until you type a name.
- The Settings window opens a little taller, so more of each page shows without scrolling.
