Clipee v0.4.1
Install it, or update it, with one file
🖥️ Windows
Download Clipee-win-Setup.exe below and double-click it.
That is all — it installs Clipee for your Windows account (no administrator password), adds it to the Start menu and starts it in the system tray. Press Ctrl+Alt+V to open it. If your PC does not have the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime yet, the installer fetches it first. Clipee is not code-signed yet, so Windows may say it is an unrecognized app: choose More info → Run anyway. If double-clicking does nothing, Windows has blocked the downloaded file: right-click it → Properties → tick Unblock at the bottom → OK, then double-click it again.
Already have it? There is nothing to do. Clipee checks for updates in the background and installs them the next time it starts. Settings → General → Check now does it on demand.
🧳 Without the installer
Take Clipee-win-Portable.zip instead, unzip it wherever you like and run Clipee.exe. Clipee runs on Windows 10 and 11; there is no Mac or Linux version.
Clipee is free, with no ads and no tracking. If it saves you time, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.
New features & enhancements
- A refreshed logo: the paperclip's curves are wider and taller, in the tray, the Start menu and the app.
- Settings, About shows Clipee's drawn wordmark beside the logo.
- Buttons take a soft accent tint when the pointer is over them, a little deeper when pressed.
- The Clipee name in the popup header and the Settings sidebar is a little larger, and the "A Markticulous build" plate is tidier, with its letters centred.
Bug fixes
- When Windows updates .NET while Clipee is running, Clipee now restarts itself cleanly. Before, it could stay in the tray without responding until it was closed and started again.
- Buttons that show an icon with a label now grey out fully when they are disabled.
