macOS: "Open With" now actually opens the file. Finder's Open With → Paperweight (and open -a Paperweight file.pdf) launched the app with an empty window instead of the document. macOS delivers the file via a system event, not a command-line argument, and Paperweight was only checking the latter. Fixed for both a fresh launch and for opening a second file while Paperweight is already running.
Smoother zoom. Ctrl+scroll / trackpad pinch-to-zoom no longer queues a full page re-layout per wheel tick — it's capped to one per frame.
Under the hood
Annotations (highlights, comments) now save to one file per document instead of one shared file that got rewritten in full on every single edit. This also fixes a real bug: having the same document open in two windows could silently overwrite one window's annotations with the other's stale copy.
EPUB reading now releases pages once you've scrolled far past them, instead of keeping every visited page's chapter content in memory for the rest of the session — matching how PDF pages already behaved.
