v2.462.4

jkins v2.462.4 is a client patch for Windows vault permissions. It does not change the Jenkins controller version used for CLI compatibility review (2.462.3).

  • Protect Windows vault directories and files with an ACL for the signed-in user and SYSTEM. Loading an existing vault repairs its permissions.
  • Serialize vault operations so concurrent saves do not fail when Windows prevents replacement of an open file.
  • Run formatting, vet, tests, build, and GoReleaser checks on Windows, Linux, and macOS in CI.

Windows amd64 vault tests ran in CI; Windows arm64 was cross-built. See the README for installation and setup. Direct archives and checksums are attached below.

v2.462.3

@masonhuemmer masonhuemmer released this 30 Sep 13:34

First native Go release of jkins. The version mirrors the Jenkins 2.462.3 controller used for protocol and command parity review; future jkins versions can advance independently. Direct Jenkins commands use the controller's WebSocket CLI protocol, while the CLI also includes structured job/build operations and an age-encrypted local credential vault.

Install on macOS or Linux with Homebrew:

brew install jacobhuemmer/tap/jkins

Install on Windows with Scoop:

scoop bucket add jacobhuemmer https://github.com/jacobhuemmer/scoop-bucket
scoop install jacobhuemmer/jkins

A winget manifest submission is under review; winget install JacobHuemmer.jkins will become available after it is accepted. Direct archives and checksums.txt are attached below.

Run jkins --version to see this client version, or jkins version to ask the configured controller for its Jenkins version.

Install on Windows with Chocolatey: download jkins.2.462.3.nupkg from the assets below, then run choco install jkins --source PATH_TO_DOWNLOAD_DIRECTORY --version 2.462.3. The package was tested on a Windows runner and checks the Windows archive SHA-256 during installation. A Chocolatey Community listing requires package submission and moderation.
