Fermata 0.3.0
Features
- How It Works: a short guide to how Fermata works, available from the menu and shown automatically on first install.
- Long break reward: an animation now celebrates earning a long break. If the window is hidden, it waits until you reopen it.
- Long break progress in the logo: the logo at the top changes from a fermata to a quarter, half, then whole rest as you get closer. The Break button now always stays a fermata.
- New default timing: new installs and the Use Pomodoro Ratio button now give a 20-minute long break every 100 minutes, with the same 5:1 ratio. Existing settings aren't changed; click Use Pomodoro Ratio to switch.
Fixes
- Window on launch: Fermata now comes to the front when you launch it, instead of sometimes staying hidden or behind other windows. Opening it while it's already running in the menu bar now shows the window too.
- Changing the ratio mid-session: clearing the ratio field or entering 0 no longer breaks the balance with
Infinity:NaN:NaN. A new ratio applies from that point on, and break time you've already earned is kept. Balances already affected reset to 0. - Long break settings: invalid values in the Long Break fields are now ignored.
- Version in update messages: Check for Updates now tells you which version you're on.
