rePossess connects your reMarkable to MCP clients from your Mac's menu bar. Search your notes, read text and page images, and send new Markdown notes, PDFs, and EPUBs over USB or through reMarkable's cloud.
0.1.0 is a limited preview for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 27 or later. Handwriting recognition is optional and off by default. The local MLX model needs a separate download of about 5.8 GB. You can also configure another recognition provider; providers outside your Mac require consent to send page images. Your MCP client may send document content to its own model provider under that client's settings.
Download and expand rePossess-0.1.0.zip, move rePossess.app to Applications, then open Settings to connect your tablet and AI client. The .sha256 file contains the download's checksum.
This preview adds documents; it does not edit or replace existing ones. It uses an unofficial cloud API, and page rendering and recognition can differ from the original notes. Recorded checks cover a Paper Pure, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop; other tablet models and Codex remain unverified.
