Bardo 1.0.2 keeps the toolbar search out of the inspector's way.

Changes

  • Search steps aside for the inspector.
    • While the information panel is open, the search field is hidden instead of sitting over it.
    • Opening the panel clears a search in progress.
    • ⌘F closes the panel and puts the cursor in the search field.
  • Signed. The About window, the license and the README now credit Maximiliano Avendaño (maxavend). Bardo remains under the MIT License.

Requirements

  • A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later.
  • About 650 MB for the local speech and speaker resources, downloaded on first launch. After that, Bardo works offline.

Install

Open the DMG and drag Bardo to Applications. This build is signed ad hoc and is not notarized yet, so macOS blocks the first launch: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway next to the message about Bardo.
