NativeMorph Engine v0.0.10
NativeMorph Engine v0.0.10
The Linux and Windows machines now install reliably. This build fixes the crash that stopped the Linux machine with open failed: EISDIR during setup:
- Fixed the EISDIR / broken install bug — the system-file unpacker was misreading the archive after the first small file, so unpacking crashed and the machine never booted. The unpacker is now exact and validated against the archive end to end.
- Machine files are never destroyed anymore — unpacking happens into a staging area and only swaps in when the whole machine is verified; a failed or interrupted download can no longer damage an installed machine, and updating the app never deletes your Linux or Windows files or disks.
- Downloads verify before unpacking — a damaged or half-finished download is detected and re-downloaded cleanly instead of producing garbage.
- The Windows disk download is safe too — it lands as a
.partfile and only becomes the real disk after completing, so a network drop can't wipe an existing disk.
Browser games in fullscreen keep their controls:
- When a browser game switches to fullscreen, the floating touch controls now stay visible and on top, and keep driving the game (buttons, sticks, mouse, WASD from a hardware keyboard) inside fullscreen.
Windows and Linux, inside the XMB (from v0.0.9):
- Windows — a real Windows 7 machine, emulated right on your phone (QEMU x86, not native). First Start downloads the machine files (~530 MB) and a ready-to-boot Windows 7 disk (~790 MB); after that it boots fullscreen every time. Your phone's storage shows up inside Windows as
\\10.0.2.2\My Files, so any Windows game or program you own can be opened straight from your files. Remember it is emulated: older and lighter games are the ones that play best, and the first boot takes a few minutes. - Linux — a full Debian desktop with XFCE, running at near-native speed, with your files in the My Files folder on the desktop and the complete apt package manager.
- Both machines run completely on your device — nothing is streamed or uploaded. The floating touch controls work on the desktop too: WASD, sticks and buttons all reach the machine.
Updating from v0.0.9 installs straight over it — your games, machines, disks and settings all stay.
