What's new?

• Log-based alerts for OpenEBS components (supported from OpenEBS 1.4 onwards). Director now scans for specific error patterns in the logs of OpenEBS components and generates alerts if the pattern is matched.
• Alerting enhancements for OpenEBS cStor pools (supported from OpenEBS 1.4 onwards). Director now reports the cStor pool status to be unhealthy if IOs are stopped on that pool.
• Kubernetes 1.16 support for Director OnPrem. Clusters running on K8s 1.16 version can now be connected and monitored from Director. Director itself can be installed on K8s 1.16.

Bug fixes

• The auto-connect Director OnPrem cluster takes more than the expected time to connect.
• Noisy logs in the Director agent component due to the installation of lower versions of OpenEBS.
• Backup is continuing even after application deletion.
• Unable to display control-plane components of OpenEBS(1.0.0) in upgrade dashboard for rancher cluster (helm based installation).
• Unable to trigger fresh OpenEBS upgrade of a component if the existing upgrade-job is unable to report the status.
• Unable to view the user’s dashboard when logged in as an admin or readAdmin.
• UI enhancements and stability fixes for OpenEBS upgrade and application monitoring.
• Display proper error message to the user if the DMaaS schedule or restore is failing.
• Display proper message to the user for upgrading the OpenEBS control plane before upgrading data plane components.

Known issues

• OpenEBS upgrade dashboard takes time to load while one upgrade is going on.
• DMaaS backups take time to sync on destination cluster resulting failed restores or wrong restores sometimes.
