Prefer no npx? The .tgz asset below installs with

First public release.

Two delegate tools with explicit cost tiers

  • subagent_dsh (lite) — skills + shell + file editing, ~9k input tokens per run
  • subagent_dsh_full — adds the MCP servers from overlay.yml, ~300k input tokens

Per-call controls

  • wait_sec (return a task id instead of blocking), imeout_sec (hard limit, process-tree kill, partial answer returned)

ead_only (instruction + detection, explicitly not a kernel sandbox)

  • ormat: json for programmatic consumption

Operational

  • bounded concurrency with a FIFO queue (default 2)
  • results report tokens, tool calls, startup_ms / work_ms, xit_code, rror_code
  • oversized answers spill to state/results/.md
  • optional
otify-hook.mjs surfaces finished tasks through host hooks

Safety

  • configuration is delivered as dsh --patch overlays: existing DSH profiles are never rewritten
  • the server creates its own dsh-subagent profile from the shipped headless template

Verified

  • real end-to-end runs: answer returned in 2.9s, startup 1.67s / work 1.19s, tokens in 9073 / out 2
  • skills and AGENTS.md confirmed inherited by the child
  • cancel kills the whole process tree; zero orphans
  • bad cwd, queueing, session-id status and timeout paths all exercised
