Maintenance release for the Obsidian Community plugins review. No change in what the plugin does.
Changes
- MDZip's settings now show up in Obsidian's settings search.
- The release files are now built on GitHub and carry an attestation, so you can check that they were built from this repository's source.
- Code cleanups from the Community plugins review, including how the plugin hooks into Obsidian's file reading, tabs, links and graph.
- The release no longer includes a ZIP. Obsidian installs from the three files below.
Install
Once MDZip is listed, install it from Settings → Community plugins → Browse. Until then, download main.js, manifest.json and styles.css into your vault's .obsidian/plugins/mdzip/ folder, reload Obsidian and turn on MDZip under Settings → Community plugins.
Requires Obsidian 1.14.5 or later. Tested on Windows and Android.
Known limitations
- Obsidian's own search, backlinks, outline and link autocomplete don't see documents inside an archive. MDZip search and the links panel cover them.
- Links from notes into an archive are updated when the archive is renamed or moved, but not when a document inside the archive is moved.
