Abstract

This proposal aims to streamline the process for Metaplex Treasury Proposals (“MTPs”) by shortening the community feedback period from 14 days to 7 days. One week is enough time for the community to share feedback and submit counter proposals for treasury proposals. This should encourage more treasury proposals and focused community feedback.

Motivation

Under the current process, the community feedback period for MTPs is 14 days. That is too long. Feedback for treasury proposals can be focused to a one week period. That is enough time for healthy debate and counter-proposals while still allowing proposals to be decided in a timely fashion.

Detailed Description

The community feedback period for MTPs would be shortened from 14 days to 7 days. No other aspects of the procedure would change if this proposal passes. Implementation is merely a change to the MTP proposal guidelines found here:
https://github.com/metaplex-foundation/dao/blob/main/treasury-proposals.md

The Metaplex DAO Constitution mandates that the community feedback period remain open for a minimum of five (5) days, so this proposal is constitutional.
